Before you can see Cutting Parameters' recommendations, you must first use CAM Assist to compute a toolpath strategy (see Getting Started with CAM Assist).

After CAM Assist had been used to compute a toolpath strategy for a part, the Fusion Browser is populated with the operations and tools that form that strategy, as shown in the following screenshot.

Once CAM Assist has completed the toolpath strategy computation, Cutting Parameters can be opened to amend the parameters of the cutting tool used for individual operations within that strategy.

Opening Cutting Parameters

To open Cutting Parameters, take the following steps:

  1. Create a CloudNC CAM Assist toolpath strategy (see Getting Started with CAM Assist).

  2. Open the Fusion Browser.

Within the Fusion Browser:

  1. Open a ‘Setup’ folder.

  2. Expand the ‘CAM Assist’ folder.

  3. Select one of the operation folders.

Within the selected operation folder:

  1. Right-click an operation toolpath - a pop-up menu is displayed (see the screenshot, below).

  2. From the pop-up menu, select CloudNC Cutting Parameters.

  3. Cutting Parameters now opens (see Cutting Parameters Layout, Features, and Functionality).
