Machine input
The machine is the one you originally selected for Choose Machine in CAM Assist, it was used to generate the toolpath strategy.
The machine cannot be changed within Cutting Parameters but its properties can be changed within the Machine pop-up (see below).
Machine properties
The properties of the chosen machine have one of two possible sources:
Original CAM Assist ‘Machine Properties’ (see the screenshot to the right) - the properties that you used to generate the toolpath strategy shown in the Fusion Browser .
Machine pop-up - you can replace the value for certain specific machine properties with those entered in the pop-up (see below).
On clicking the Machine tab, the Machine pop-up appears (see below).
Machine pop-up
The Machine pop-up contains the same machine properties that are available within CAM Assist The unit of measurement used in the pop-up can be changed via the ‘Session Settings’ cogwheel (see Cutting Parameters Layout).
How to change the machine’s properties
Within the Machine pop-up, take the following steps:
Change the property value using either/both of the following methods:
Enter a value directly into the textbox.
Use the up-down control to increase-decrease the value by 1.
Click on any of the input tabs (do not click Close)
The new property values are automatically saved.
The Machine pop-up closes.
The up-down button increments/decrements by integers, so if the button is used, it will remove any decimal accuracy for the value being changed.
