As it’s name suggests, the Cycle Time Estimator estimates the time required to machine each of the parts configured within a batch of Fusion files, which are specified by you.
The Cycle Time Estimator also creates a toolpath strategy for each of the parts.

Overview

To use the Cycle Time Estimator, take the following steps:

  1. Open the Cycle Time Estimator (see below).

  2. Upload:

    1. Select a batch of Fusion part files (you can specify up to 10 part files).

    2. Set the ‘options’ for the machining environment

    3. Click Run

  3. Cycle Time Estimates - examine the results of the estimations by navigating the toolpaths (in the same manner as in the Fusion Browser)

  4. Results - look at the results of the estimates and identify any issues.

  5. Export - export the results of the estimates for any of the part files. The export is a CSV (comma-separated values) file to a location of your choice.

For more detailed instructions, see Using the Cycle Time Estimator.

Scope

  • The Cycle Time Estimator accepts up to 10 Fusion files.

  • If any Fusion file contains a configuration error then:

    • A cycle time estimation will not be computed for that file.

    • The error will be reported in the ‘Report’ tab.
