How to Install CAM Assist for Fusion (Windows)

This guide takes you through the process of downloading and installing the latest version of CloudNC’s CAM Assist add-on for Fusion.

CAM Assist is a Fusion add-on. Fusion must be closed before updating CAM Assist.

In order to update, there is no need to uninstall your currently installed version of CAM Assist.

Downloading the installation file

  1. Under the heading CAM Assist for Fusion (Windows), click on the installation ‘file’ link to download the file.

  2. Open the ‘Downloads’ folder in Windows Explorer.

Running the installation

  1. Run the installation setup (double-click the file) that was just downloaded.

The first part of the installation setup is the ‘Welcome’ page.

  1. Click Next.

The next page holds the License Agreement (or Terms of Use Agreement).

  1. Fully read the Terms of Use Agreement.

  2. Click I Agree to agree with the terms and continue the installation.

Click ‘Cancel’ if you do not agree or if you have questions you would like to get answered before continuing (please contact CloudNC Support).

When the installation has completed, a summary page is displayed.

  1. Ensure the checkbox for ‘Run Autodesk Fusion’ is checked.

  2. Click Finish.

  3. Fusion is opened automatically.

 

Locating CAM Assist

  1. Within Fusion, go to the ‘Manufacture’ workspace

  2. The CAM Assist panel is shown in the righthand edge of the Manufacture ‘Milling’ ribbon

    • Expand the CAM Assist panel to start using CAM Assist for Fusion (see Getting Started).
