Heatmaps

The heatmaps use a series of color-coded ranges to show the tool’s current configuration, based on the value of the relevant cutting parameter(s).

To display the Heatmaps, click the icon on the right in the display switch (shown to the right).

The heatmaps are for information purposes only, they are a visual aid to help you configure a tool’s cutting parameters effectively.

The following table details the features of the Heatmaps display (as annotated in the image to the right).

Heatmap

Each displayed heatmap (see Heatmap selection, below) uses a color scale (2) to indicate various ranges for the tool.

Generally, the ideal range is colored green.

A white cross shows the current position of the tool in the heatmap (see Dynamic adjustments, below).

The heatmap uses the colors shown in this scale.
Where appropriate, the colors are given a numerical value.

Information parameters

These parameters are for information purposes only.

The value shown indicates the tool’s current position, based on the inputs, in the given range.

Heatmap list

Cutting Parameters gives you a wide choice of heatmaps that you can display at the same time in the Display Area (for a list of the heatmaps, see Heatmap selection, below).

Heatmap selection

The Heatmaps drop-down contains a series of additional heatmaps that you can display at the same time in the Display Area.

You can select as many heatmaps as necessary.

To select a heatmap:

  1. Click on the drop-down arrow

  2. Check the checkbox to the left of the heatmap's name.

  3. It will immediately appear in the Display Area.
