If you are pressed for time, you can skip Face mills. CAM Assist will work well without any Face mills in your tool library, you simply won’t get facing toolpaths generated at the beginning of your program. |
The CAM Assist Face Milling strategy produces separate roughing and finishing passes with your face mill, depending on how much stock needs to be removed. Therefore, you will need two cutting data presets on your face mill tool.
