Close Siemens NX - please ensure Siemens NX is closed before installing/updating the CAM Assist add-on.
If you’re updating to a new version then there is no need to uninstall your currently installed version of CAM Assist.
This guide takes you through the process of downloading and installing the latest version of CloudNC’s CAM Assist add-on for Fusion 360.

Downloading the installation file

1. Go to the <a href="https://cloudnc.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CAF3UD/pages/3309976/Downloads" target="_blank">Downloads</a> page. |
Under the heading ‘CAM Assist (Windows)’, click on the installation setup link to download the file.
The installation setup is named something like ‘CloudNC CAM Assist v1.8.0.exe'
Here, the numbers following ‘v' are the version number of the latest release of CAM Assist.
Open the ‘Downloads’ folder in Windows Explorer.
Running the installation
Download CAM Assist - download the appropriate version of CAM Assist for your Siemens NX software from the Downloads page.
The CAM Assist add-on, starting from release v1.2, supports the following Siemens NX versions: 2212, 2306, 2312, and 2406.
Run the CAM Assist Installer
Locate the file you downloaded in Step 2 and run it (double-click) it.

If you see the 'Windows protected your PC' blue dialog at the start of the install, take the following steps
First, click the underlined More info.  | Then, click Run anyway to proceed with the installation. |
The CAM Assist installation will now continue (see below).

Within Fusion 360, go to the ‘Manufacture’ workspace
The CAM Assist panel is shown in the righthand edge of the Manufacture ‘Milling’ ribbon.
