Installing CAM Assist

This page contains step-by-step instructions on installing CloudNC CAM Assist for Siemens NX.

1. Close Siemens NX

If updating, there is no need to uninstall your currently installed version of CAM Assist.

2. Download CAM Assist

Download the appropriate version of CAM Assist for your Siemens NX software from our website.

3. Run the CAM Assist Installer

• Locate the file you downloaded in Step 1 and run it (double-click) it.

If you see the 'Windows protected your PC' blue dialog at the start of the install, take the following steps

First, click the underlined More info.

Then, click Run anyway to proceed with the installation.

The CAM Assist installation will now continue (see below).

The first part of the installation setup is the ‘Welcome’ page. Click Next.
The next page holds the License Agreement (or Terms of Use Agreement). Fully read the Terms of Use Agreement. Click I Agree to agree with the terms and continue the installation. Click ‘Cancel’ if you do not agree or if you have questions you would like to get answered before continuing (please contact CloudNC Support).
When the installation has completed, a summary page is displayed. There is a checkbox for Run Siemens NX: Check the box to open Siemens NX automatically when the installer is closed Uncheck the box if you don’t want Siemens to open automatically. Click Finish. The installer is closed. Congratulations, the CAM Assist add-on to Siemens NX is now installed! Please see Locating the CAM Assist Add-on.
