Sign up process

Welcome to CAM Assist! Here’s how to set up and get started with CAM Assist in Siemens NX.

Step 1: Locating CAM Assist in the NX Menu

  • Once you've installed CAM Assist, you’ll find it integrated within your NX menu.

  • Navigate to the CAM Assist section to access its features.

Step 2: Viewing All CAM Assist Icons

  • To see the full range of CAM Assist icons, ensure that a part file is open in your NX session.

  • If you do not have a part file open:

    • Click on the Demo Part option within CAM Assist.

    • Here’s how to open one of the CAM Assist demo parts Step 3 - CAM Assist ribbon.

    • Open one of the available demo parts to get started.

Step 3: Signing In to CAM Assist

  • Before using CAM Assist for the first time, you’ll need to have an active account and be signed in.

  • Click on the CAM Assist icon, which will prompt you to the CloudNC authentication page.

  • If you’re a first-time user, follow these steps:

    • Select Sign Up at the bottom of the sign-in page.

    • Fill in the necessary details to create your account.

To sign up, take the following steps:

  1. Email - enter the email that you would like to associate with your CloudNC account.

    • Please ensure the email is correct as, in step 4, it will be used for the sign up verification code.

  2. Password - create a password following the password guideline.

    • The guidelines will be displayed as you enter the password.

  3. Click Sign up - the ‘Confirm your account form’ is displayed (see below).

  4. When you clicked ‘Sign up', a one-time verification code was sent to the email address you used. The email will be from no-reply@verificationemail.com (you may have to check your spam folder).

    1. Check the email you received and enter its Verification code in the box on the ‘Confirm your account’ form.

    2. Click Confirm account

Sign in process

After you’ve installed your first version of CloudNC CAM Assist for Siemens NX (or after you’ve updated it to the latest release), when you’ve opened a part and start to use CAM Assist, you’ll see the ‘sign-in’ form (see the image to the right).

To sign in, take the following steps:

  1. Email - enter the email you used to ‘sign up' for CAM Assist for Siemens NX

  2. Password - enter the associated password (check for Caps Lock)

  3. Click Sign in

  4. Assuming you have an active subscription to CAM Assist, you will see a confirmation page indicating a successful login.

  5. Congratulations! We hope you enjoy using CloudNC CAM Assist for Siemens NX!
