v1.13 Tool Use Tab

The ‘Tool use’ tab is split into two sections:

• General - a collapsible/expandable section that contains drop-down boxes to enable the user to specify the machining environment

• Toolset table - provides at-a-glance information of how each tool in the selected ‘Tool library’ (toolset) will be used by CAM Assist. It provides this information using the following methods:

  • 4-state buttons - contained within the ‘Allowed Materials’ and ‘Allowed Operations’ columns, 4-state button quickly shows the following:

    • If CAM Assist has identified cutting data presets (configured within Fusion) for the tool.

    • Whether or not you have decided to ‘allow’ CAM Assist to use that tool for the ‘material and specific 'usages’.

  • Status alert buttons - contained within the ‘Status’ column, the status alert buttons quickly shows that there is a Fusion configuration issue for the related tool.

  • Tooltips - Tooltips provide context-specific details and appear for:

    • Cutting data presets - 4-state button tooltips provides the following information:

      • The name of Fusion cutting data presets identified by CAM Assist, or

      • The action taken by CAM Assist for cutting data parameters that weren’t identified.

    • Status - provides information regarding Fusion configuration issues.
