Installing CAM Assist for Mastercam

This guide presents the process of downloading and installing the latest version of CloudNC’s CAM Assist add-on for Mastercam.
CAM Assist is a Mastercam add-on. Mastercam must be closed before updating CAM Assist.
In order to update, there is no need to uninstall your currently installed version of CAM Assist.
Step-by-step instructions
Download the installation file
Under the heading CAM Assist for Mastercam, click on the installation ‘zip’ file link to download it.
Close Mastercam.
Open the ‘Downloads’ folder in Windows Explorer.
Running the installation
Extract the .exe file from the downloaded .zip file.
Run the installation setup (double-click the .exe file)
The first part of the installation setup is the ‘Welcome’ page.
Click Next.
The next part holds the License Agreement (or Terms of Use Agreement).
Fully read the Terms of Use Agreement.
Click I Agree to agree with the terms and continue the installation.
Click ‘Cancel’ if you do not agree or if you have questions you would like to get answered before continuing (please contact CloudNC Support).
The next part is the ‘Choose Install Location’ page for CAM Assist files.
By default, the following folder is used on your local machine:
CAM Assist files - C:\Users\Public\Documents\Shared Mastercam 2024\Add-Ins
You may need to select an alternative folder, depending on your setup, to allow CAM Assist to run.
Click Next.

The next part is the ‘Choose Install Location’ page for the Tool Library files.
By default, the following folders are used on your local machine:
Tool Library - C:\Users\Public\Documents\Shared Mastercam 2024\mill\Tools
Click Install.
When the installation has completed, a summary page is displayed.
Ensure the checkbox for ‘Run Mastercam’ is checked.
Click Finish.
Mastercam is opened automatically.
Locating CAM Assist
Within Mastercam, open the ‘CloudNC’ tab, as shown below.
Expand the CloudNC CAM Assist panel to start using CAM Assist for Mastercam (see Getting Started).
