The Toolpath Generation area controls when the toolpaths created by CAM Assist will be generated in Mastercam. When running more complicated parts, it can be useful and productive to control when toolpaths are generated.
Option | Description |
|---|---|
Always generate toolpaths | CAM Assist will trigger toolpath generation in Mastercam immediately after calculating a strategy. |
Never generate toolpaths | CAM Assist will crate a strategy, but will not generate any of the operations. They will stay dirty. This option is useful for inspecting strategies before committing to generating it. |
Ask each time | The choice to generate toolpaths will be presented at the conclusion of the CAM Assist calculation. See example:
